ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Architecture is not just about designing buildings or skyscrapers, it is about how a particular design can impact the society.A good design takes its surrounding into account, a good design contributes back to the society and most of all, a good design is timeless. In Environmental sustainable Design we learn what are the environmental issues facing by the world today and to tackle it with our design. Indirectly, we are to be green buildiers in the future.
PROJECT 1 : MY COMMUNITY MY COMMITMENT
In this project, it was aimed to create awareness within us about the environmental issues faced locally. In a group of 10 we have to find any non profit organization that faces any difficulties and we have to treat them as our client and provide them with a helping hand, solving their problems creatively using the knowledge we got from this particullar subject, which is provide sustainable design which contributes back to the environment or reduce the negetive impact to the environment.
LEARNING OUTCOMES :
Explore the concept of environmental and ecological sustainability.
1. Produce a complete documentation of the entire project from proposal up to completion.
2. Produce a multi media presentation on the issue and process taken to resolve the issue.
3. To be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
4. Recognise role and responsibility of an architect towards environment and society.
5. Exemplify creativity in attempting to explore the current environmental circumstances.
